DC Motors
DC Motors have long been a speciality of A.C. Hargreaves & Co. Our staff have extensive experience in the rewinding, overhauling and repair of DC Motors including Scharage and Permanent Magnet Motors.
Some speciality areas include:
- rewinding and fitment of new commutators
- relamination and insulation of armature and rotor stacks
- rebuilding of damaged brush holders
- balancing and machining commutators to extremely fine tolerances
Permanent Magnet
We are able to remagnetize most permanent magnet stators and repair or rebond loose or broken magnets in most cases. Care is taken to provide a keeper to protect the magnetism in the magnet upon dismantling.
