Small AC & DC Armature Winding

We have a specialist section dedicated to the rewinding of smaller armatures from a tiny dremel tool or aircraft instrument motor, to automative and larger DC motors.
We import our own quality commutators and have a large quantity and assortment in stock at all times.

Special Features

• Fans, bearings,commutators etc. that are removed for rewinding, are measured with vernier callipers and recorded to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Armatures are dynamically balanced before and after baking.
• Commutators are machined on their own bearings to ensure perfect alignment and better commutation when reassembled.
• High grade commutators used as standard replacement as required.
• SAME DAY SERVICE available if required. (normally 2-3 days)

	Step 1 Fans, bearings etc. to be measured & removed ready for stripping
	Step2 Completely stripped ready for re-insulating & testing of commutator
	Step 3 Insulated ready for winding with a new commutator fitted
	Step 4 Windings inserted ready for connection to the commutator
	Step 5 Armature windings spotwelded to commutator ready for preliminary balancing
	Step 6 Both winding end tied down & armature windings varnished and baked.
	Step 7 Armature completed. Balanced, commutator machined & undercut, fans etc. re positioned, tested and ready for despatch.
